This is generally confined to the hilly and mountainous areas of the country. The important raw materials used in the basket-making are bamboo, cane, and willow. The main producers of baskets are Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh,Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim, Tripura, and LTttarakhand.
