7. Region of Heavy Rainfall

This region covers West-Bengal, O disha, Jharkhand and eastern parts of Andhra Pradesh. The average annual rainfall in this region varies between 100—200 cm. There is a general decrease in the amount of rainfall from east to west. The mean January temperature is over 18°C, while about 30°C is recorded during the months of June andjuly.
