Ordinary Bills

Every ordinary bill has to pass through the following five stages in the Parliament before it finds a place on the Statute Book:

 

1. First Reading2. Second Reading(a) Stage of GeneraI Discussion(b) Committee Stage(c) Consideration Stage3. Third Reading4. Bill in the Second House5. Assent of the President
