Most earthquakes in the world are associated with the following:
♤ the zones of young fold mountains,
♤ the zones of faulting and fracturing,
♤ the zones representing the junctions of continental and oceanic margins,
♤ the zones of active volcanoes, and
♤ along the different plate boundaries.
