2. Dravidians

They are found particularly in South India (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu), Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, southern Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and southern Rajasthan. Their representatives are the Santhals of Chotanagpur Plateau, the Todas of Nilgiri, thejuangs of Odisha, the Gonds of Bastar, and the Bhils of Rajasthan. They were probably the ancient people of India, but have been influenced by the admixture of Aryans, the Scythians (Ukrainians) and Mongoloid people. They are characterised by short stature, dark complexion, hairy bodies, curly hair, long heads, and broad nose.
