I’ij To provide a conducive structure to increase foreign and domestic investment in industries.
(ii) To promote foreign trade.
(iii) To generate more employment.
(iv) To develop the relatively less developed areas.
(v) To accelerate the process of industrialisation and urbanisation.
(vi) To reduce the regional inequalities in socioeconomic development.
