2. P. Sengupta and G. Sdasyuk's Classification of Agriculture


Miss 1’. Sengupta and Galina Sdasyuk (1968) presented a three-tier classification of India’s agricultural regions.


(i) Climatic characteristics : 4 macro regions.


(ii) Physiographic characteristics: 11 meso regions.


(iii) Crop combinations : 60 micro regions.


These agricultural regions have been plotted in Fig. 10.7 to Fig. 10.8.
