3. The Dry Plains of North-West India


This climate stretches over Rajasthan, Kachchh, and south-western parts of Haryana. In this region the winter temperature ranges between 15°C and 25°C, but occasionally, the maximum temperature crosses 47°C in the months of May and June. The average annual rainfall is below 25 cm and occurs mainly during the months ofjuly and August; the season of general rainfall.
