Subernrekha (length 400 km, basin 28,000 sq km)


The Subernrekha rises a little to the southwest of Ranchi where it has a number of waterfalls. In a general easterly direction, it passes throughjamshedpur and flows to the Bay of Bengal near B alasore. Its drainage basin is shared by the states ofjharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal.
