1.2.3. Project Mausam

♤ Project ‘Mausam’ is the initiative of Ministry of Culture to be implemented by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) as the nodal agency with research support of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) and National Museum as associate bodies.

♤ Project ‘Mausam’ was launched in the 38th Session of World Heritage Committee meeting which was held at Doha in June, 2014.♤ 39 Indian Ocean countries identified under Project Mausam.♤ The Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) is an inter-governmental organisation which was established on 7 March 1997.♤ The IORA has 21 Member States and 7 Dialogue Partners ♤ The year 2017 is a landmark for IORA, celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Association as a proactive inter-governmental organisation
