♤ In June 2017 the Indian troops thwarted Chinese attempts to build a road in this area which constitutes the trijunction between the three countries and is close to India’s Siliguri corridor. This led to a 73-day-long military standoff between the two countries which ended in August 2017 with the disengagement of the Indiana and Chinese forces.
