7.3.3. Principles of the SAARC Charter

♤ Keeping the apprehensions of both India and its smaller neighbours in mind, SAARC developed a charter which would guides its functioning based on:

o Sovereign equality.

o Territorial integrity.

o Political independence.

o Non interference in domestic matters.
